Doing less than you’re capable of seems like the opposite of what our culture tells us to do.
“Do More!”
“You’re weak if you rest!”
“Eat this, not that!”
Because it’s true, it’s very counterculture.
That’s why I want you to be different, because look at where toxic diet culture has got you now.
It might sound like:
“Okay, I need to be more active so I’m going to walk for an hour everyday this week.”
(then Friday afternoon arrives) “Ugh, I suck! I got 15 minutes in on Tuesday and that’s it!”
Here’s where you went wrong. Going from zero to 7 hours of walking in a week is hard. Too much, too fast.
Here’s the upside of that, you learned that a 15 minute walk on a Tuesday is possible no matter how busy you are. ๐๐ป
Here’s the only question you should ask yourself,
“What day of the week can I add another 15 minute walk?”
It doesn’t matter what you think you should be doing, it matters what you ARE doing.
I’ve got a guarantee for you! That 15 minute walk on Tuesday is gonna lead to more.
And soon, you’re gonna be doing an hour, 7 days a week and then be sad when you don’t. It just takes a little time to get there.
Remember, more isn’t better. Better is better. And sticking to a plan that includes a 15 minute walk everyday for 5 days is better than zero minutes like you’ve been doing for a while.
